I planted bell peppers and banana peppers among other things and something has been killing the pepper plants. I come out in the morning and find another one chewed up the stalk about an inch and the plant lying on the ground. I've never had this before and it's really ticking me off. What's it sound like?

Cutworms will do that and usually disappear by the time you get out to the garden in the morning. Maybe a pyrethrum drench will help?

When you plant your plants put a Stryofoam cup( with the bottom cut out) over your plant & push into the ground to support it, add a little more dirt to the cup. This keeps cut worms from cutting the plants off, I do this with EVERYTHING I plant- haven't lost one yet!!
