Viva la garden

So, I’m sad to report that the wheelbarrow experiment failed. What can I say? It was a novel approach to get things up and running but I decided I just wasn't willing to drill holes in the bottom to drain it properly. So, the result, after all the rain we had, was plant soup!

I think my mother felt bad for me as she performed a very delicate surgical procedure that removed the plants from the wheelbarrow and placed them in a new, more appropriate (but less entertaining) home. She did this while I was at work, so when I came home, I naturally thought my plants took it upon themselves to escape from the home I created ... oh, well.

So now I have things running again like a well oiled machine and I'm starting to see some tomato growth. I've even snipped some of the basil and did some cooking — scrambled eggs, tomato-basil-mozzarella combo — loved it! Oh, and I’m like a 7-year-old school girl about my green peppers.

Viva la garden... or something...
