The hockey garden is doing far better than I ever expected. But it was missing something. What could really set it apart from other gardens?

After a short family meeting, my youngest son (Greyden) said something about jerseys. Light bulb flash!

When the plants arrived, they had plain labels to identify each plant. I stuck those in the ground and went....

When Father’s Day rolls around each June, that’s a sign for homes across the nation to bring out the grill and let Dad do his thing! If you’re growing fresh ingredients in the garden this year – even better! What a healthy way to get more vegetables on your plate, with a little extra flavor of the flame?

The varieties below are GREAT for grilling… either shish-kebab style on skewers, or cooked on a grill plate.

Something’s eating the peppers

So it’s officially been a month, and the container garden is off to a fantastic start. I haven’t gone nuts and overwatered, for one thing, even though this scorching early-June heat tempts my ability to refrain from drowning my plants.
